How can one be both thoughtless and aware at the same time?

How can one be both thoughtless and aware at the same time?

The term ‘Nirvichaarita’ in Hindi is better understood than its English version we use often – ‘thoughtless awareness’ – sounds like an oxymoron combination.

The meaning is simple – empty you cup so that it can be filled with divine wisdom.

Our minds are restless – we have incessant thought pouring in from everywhere – from the past, present, future and even non-existent corners of the universe – a space created by our own minds!

Once we are able to stop these frivolous thoughts based on our miniscule understanding of this world, our habits, experiences and conditionings…we can delve deeper into the bliss of divine nectar. For that we need to practice ‘nirvicharita’ or ‘thoughtless awareness’ which is brought about through authentic meditation with the grace of a true spiritual master or SadhGuru. For us Sahaja yogis, Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi is the guru who blessed us with the divine wisdom in the form of Sahaja Yoga.
